Again! She has 8 teeth now! The two side front bottom teeth are making their way out of her little gums. You can see them when she smiles it's so cute! I'm hopeful that when she starts to get her molars in the next couple months, that eating will be an easier thing for her. After all, it is hard to chew things with your front teeth only. I think that's why she likes spaghetti so much because she can break up the noodles easily with her gums.
Kaylee is now an expert in getting down from standing and frequently practices her squats. She is better at doing an exercise regime than I am! She continues to love shaking the baby gate and trying to get at the dogs when they're waiting to come upstairs - it's her favorite pasttime. She loves to sit under her jumperoo at home and at daycare for some reason - it must be kind of like a fort. She and Lucas at daycare hang out under the jumperoo together sometimes.
The other day when I was giving Kaylee a bath I was doing the "This little piggy went to market" on her toes. When I said "Wee Wee Wee all the way home", she then said "Wee Wee Wee." Along with a very cute proud smile at me. I got very excited and then of course called Eric in the hear it. And of course she wouldn't do it again. Oh well.
The other day we took Kaylee out to dinner with some friends to a Thai restaurant. She didn't want to sit in her highchair and preferred being passed back and forth between Eric and I. She was very restless and when she wanted attention she would smack on my face a bit. The little stinker! She wasn't exactly bad because she didn't yell or scream or cry or make a scene, she was just kind of pain to have out. Although we were still glad to be with her, as always. Eric and I are going to try to keep her in her highchair more consistenly while we're eating, teaching her it's the place to be while we're at the table. But I think one can only control an infant who's bored so long...it will be really nice when she sees eating as an activity at the table that she can spend her time on.
