The kids dressed up this morning like princess and prince ( well superman with a kings crown) and Kaylee requested I marry them. So...I was officiating..anyways, so
me: dum dumda dum da dum dada...and Kaylee will you take Levi to be your husband?
Kaylee: I do
Me: Levi do you take Kaylee to be your wife?
Levi: NO!!! I want to be a witch and an octopus!
Then Kaylee proceeds to chase him around me in circles while yelling to Levi, " you will marry me like all princes want to!"
Hilarious!
Then the princess play continued between me and Kaylee and I said something about, "and she will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die!" Then Levi runs into the room laughing maniacally saying, "and die!"
And if anybody's wondering, I do teach Kaylee about being a strong woman and that she possesses girl power and can rescue herself. To some success but at the end of the day they so love playing Kaylee as damsel in distress and Levi to the rescue.
Oh and if not evidenced by the post enough, Levi is feeling much better from his week long stomach bug. I was only able to work 2.5 days last week... Glad my lil' hon is doing better!
Oh and it's 30 degrees and we have our house windows opened. How sick is that? Fresh air is nice tho!

Spring break
It's spring break at daycare and Kaylee and Levi are having a fun week. They were able to go to an indoor playground yesterday, today to chuck e cheese and tomorrow they're going sledding. Happy they're having a fun week! Wish I could be there, but its good to know they're having fun while we're working. Kay was so excited for the indoor playground that she woke up at 4:30 that morning ready to go to daycare. After an hour thankfully she fell back asleep. But then my human alarm clock didn't work, and we were all late for our day...
Spring break has made the roads more tolerable on my commute. So thankful!
We got a much nicer dining room table given to us by an associate of Eric today. Kids had a ball eating at it, sitting at it, and playing fort under the old discarded chairs, residing for the time being in our living room.

Levi's mantra
Levi's new mantra:
Me: "Levi, share with your sister." Levi: "I too busy."
Me: "Levi, do you need to sit on the potty?" Levi: "I too busy."
Me: "Levi, pick out your clothes. Get dressed." Levi: "I too busy."
You get the picture...

Sledding
We took Kaylee and Levi sledding at a huge hill near our house. It was super fun. We brought the two neighbor girls who spend lots of time with our kids too. They had a ball. I have seriously never seen Kaylee smile so much. Sometimes she can get a little slow when trudging up something like a giant hill, but she was so excited she was even running up the hill. Her smile was adorable.
It was a little icy and one time Levi started wandering around a bit precariously saying something I didn't understand and acting determined to walk down the steep hill. Like I said it was icy and steep, so I grabbed him before he could take a spill down and experience the long fall. Anyways, it probably would have been ok, but it's sort of my job not to find out :)
Eric has talked about taking them back there even today after daycare.
We said to ourselves - why have we not done this before?
Answers:
Yesterday was a very nice day. We had a little bit of snow today so if they go maybe it won't be too icy.
Levi wasn't as sure as Kaylee while sledding. He went with his dad willingly twice, was coerced by his dad twice and then went down with his girlfriend (he's got a crush on the neighbor girl) like 4 times.
Fun was had by all and I was happy to come home with no injuries.
I purposely did not sled. I did not want to find out what that activity would do to my already agrivated back. But I did plenty of trudging up and down the hill to get my work out. :)
Oh yes, and I did forget my camera. A common occurence. Apologies to all. Next time I'll remember I hope.

Answers:
- It was frigidly cold up till now
- Or overcast
- Or super windy
- Last year our little guy was just too little to do this!

Today's doings
Random thought: Levi if I could go back and change the name of this blog (to include your name too or a more generic one) easily I certainly would, a little short sighted of me not to realize that this blog isn't only going to be about Kaylee when I set it up, oh well! I knew I wanted more kids at the time , silly me...
Anyways kids had a good day, lots of shopping today though not planned that way. We went to car wash then Costco. Then to the library which turned out to be closed ( I think it's sad how much they've lessened their hours) then to cub for a couple extra things, then lunch . Then we endeavor end to try glitter shakers during out art project. I remembered how much fun they were as a kid. Anyways total rookie move, it was fun but a total utter mess. The glitter got over everything-- the kids ( bath time quickly ensued), the floor (only way to get it off was multiple sweepings then on my hands and knees with like 20 pcs go paper towel) and then all their clothes and the kitchen rug needed to get laundered. It spread so easily over every surface. Never again, I see why glue pens are much better! Maybe use up the rest outside this summer(?not sure about that even though - ugh). Then we had nap time then dinner. Then we took the kids out to the toy store (toys r us they'd hadn't been to more than 2x) and got a baby gift. Meanwhile we got some new puzzles to bring home and play. Levi said putting thomas the train ( puzzle ) made him smile. Made for a fun night.
Working on planning Kay's birthday. Been wondering what to do for her kid party if someone has been to a chuck e cheese one can you call me to tell me if its fun or not or if its expensive? We're not sure of who and how many people to invite. Our house esp. the kitchen can get real small feeling with a crowd. It's fun though cant wait till the time comes! Looking forward to making it a great one for our little sweetheart! Can y'all believe she's turning five? Where has the time gone?
