Kaylee and Levi have been having a great summer so far.
Despite it starting a bit late weather – wise…
Highlights:
1)
Went to the zoo recently! Saw the monkeys,
seals, polar bear and kids rode on the merry go round! Thanks to my parents and
my sister Becky for the great help with the kids.
2)
Experienced the splash pad with the kids – they
always go with daycare but this was my first time seeing one – they had fun but
the one I brought them to also had a beach and they were distracted by that and
the playground – all in all it made for a good day off
3)
We’ve been to the beach a couple times – they
love it and playing in the sand of course!!!
4)
We had a pool party or two – a must of summer!
Eric does a great job taking care of our pool. Kaylee can now swim from the
middle of the Pool to the side with no help. Every summer there appears a loss
of swimming skill that needs to be retaught. Eric’s been a great teacher. Levi
swims with a life jacket on all over the place. We are slowly teaching him to
swim too.
5)
We are looking forward to our upcoming vacation
to Colorado. And a day before we go my work is paying for us all to go to
____fair! Yes! Should be a highlight to write about later on!
6)
Our new nephew was born – he is beautiful his
name is Gabriel and I am excited for the kids to have a cousin who lives
locally and can play with more often. I’m so excited for my sister and her
husband and to be an Auntie again! :)
7)
We (well mostly Eric :)) re-landscaped our rock
(almost done!) Looking good!
8)
Kids are enjoying outdoor play at daycare almost
every day and their provider got a much bigger house! Yay!
9)
Levi got his first wasp sting at a playground
(lowlight?) but the highlight there is he was a big boy and wanted to go back
out and play again!
10)
Levi has been putting on a little show more and
more at the dinner table – telling little stories, he enjoys repeating
everything anyone else has said to be a part of any conversation. A little
socialite in the making! And the smiles that light up both my kids faces are so
adorable people (biased much?)
11)
They’ve had a fair number of popsicles and/or
ice cream cone treats of course! :)
12)
We had a bonfire or two when it was not so hot
out – the kids LOVED s’mores. (who doesn’t?)
13)
Getting excited for Kaylee to start
Kindergarten! I bought her a bunch of back to school clothes. She’s going to be
a little bit of a fashionista! And I’m thankful to have some of E’s gear to get
her off to a good start too. Thanks Aunt S!
14)
And because it is not good luck to end on 13 I’m
adding a 14…Levi has gotten further with pottytraining and has started to try
to brush his own teeth too!
