When my friend left our house on Friday, Kaylee
kept saying, “I want her to come over again, again, again! I had so, so, so much fun with her!” Very
cute!

Sat the kids had fun with my parents. They went
to the mall and rode the merry go round, and played around with Grandma’s toys.
They got new dress up costumes which were a big hit. Eric and I had fun hitting
a (different) mall and getting some good deals for Spring clothing. We went out
to eat at a nice restaurant and walked (outside!) together at a nature
preserve.

I got to go to a friend’s house for a party with
a bunch of women who have children about the same age as ours. It was esp. fun
to hear their thoughts one where their kids are at and the things they are
thinking about/concerned about their
children, and their different perspectives they have being a part time or stay
at home worker. Me and the host were the only ones working so much and so far
from home on a daily basis. I felt a little strange in a group full of much
more part-timers but I thought it was good to hear how things weren’t perfect
in their lives and how we all have our struggles. (because I’ll be honest
sometimes it looks just blissful to be able to stay home!) At the end of the day, we are all just doing
what we have to do and making choices for our family we think we have to make
at the time. I hope my choices will lead to a future where my kids will turn
out great and in which my time in their earlier years at the office won’t be
detrimental to my future career. (and I hope my kids will be proud of what I do
someday) I think about this daily. So far so good! I don’t think my job is an easy one, and nor
do I want it to be one. At the same time, as all moms I want what’s best for
our little ones. A plus to NOT staying home with them so much is it looks like
I won’t be as concerned as SAHMs with the transition to kindergarten. Though I
will admit, I’m simply worried she will be tired at the end of each day and
that it will be a lot for her. Though I am confident in our decision don’t get
me wrong! I don’t worry about her socially or academically – she’s smart about
those things. I am just nervous for the change of pace in life for her. I know
that she will ‘get used to it’ but I am still thinking on these things…

Sunday we went to C & C’s and had a great
time over there having some waffles and playing in their backyard. (It was finally nice!) And at night we had a
nice time at Aunt B’s. It had been a while since I had seen her and her
boyfriend. Her place is so cute, the kids had fun playing with her/N ipad/iphone games and we went for ice cream.
Mmmmm!
Last weekend had a great time with Aunt K. She took Kaylee
and I to get our nails done and out for a nice brunch. It was great to catch up
and to see her beautiful baby bump and here about how she feels/where planning
is at for my future niece/nephew! So excited!
We’re getting excited for a trip up from CO from the Smith’s. I’ll update afterwards on the fun…hope you had a great weekend too!
